Chevening scholarships for Master of Laws students

Chevening Scholarships for Master of Laws Students

Chevening Scholarships are a prestigious, UK government-funded international award scheme to enable overseas students to study postgraduate courses at UK universities with the purpose of developing global leaders. Chevening Scholarships are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations and provide full financial support for individuals from over 160 countries to pursue a one-year masters degree in the UK, covering tuition fees, living expenses, travel costs and other allowances. Successful applicants are chosen for their academic excellence, leadership potential and commitment to using their knowledge and skills to drive positive change in their home countries.

The Chevening application window for 2025 masters students is open until Tuesday 5th November 2024 and they are a great way for international LLM students to get their postgraduate law studies funded at prestigious UK law schools.

What LLM students can apply for a Chevening Scholarship?

When applying for a Chevening Award to study at a UK law school, students need to pass an eligibility checker before they are able to access the application form. To pass this checker, applicants must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country; commit to returning to their home country for at least two years; have at least two years’ work experience; hold an undergraduate degree; and apply to three different and eligible UK masters courses.
