Postgrad Solutions LLM & PG Bursaries (5 x £2,000)
Postgrad Solutions Ltd is offering x5 LLM & Postgraduate Bursaries, each to the value of £2,000. They are open to students of all nationalities and aim to help them fund their chosen Master of Laws or postgraduate law program at any recgnised law school in the world. To apply for a Postgrad Solutions Study Bursary, you have to be a member of the free-of-charge Postgrad Solutions Student Service, and you have to be starting any LLM or postgraduate law degree anywhere in the world in September/October 2025, January 2025 or January 2026.
Payment of the award will be made direct to your institution, and will be discounted from your fees as appropriate. You may only apply for a bursary after you have accepted an offer of a place at your chosen institution.

Kalisher Trust LLM Scholarship
The University of Birmingham is offering a scholarship for students on the LLM Criminal Law and Criminal Justice pathway or the LLM General pathway.
Value: This scholarship will cover the cost of tuition fees and provide a generous contribution of £6,000 towards maintenance costs.
Number of funded places: One for UK resident.
Eligibility: As well as meeting the academic entry requirements of the Birmingham LLM, applicants for this scholarship must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must be resident in the UK and classed as UK/EU for fee purposes;
- You must demonstrate intellectual ability – through academic performance, employment, and/or other experiences.
- You must demonstrate motivation to succeed at the Criminal Bar
- You must demonstrate potential as an advocate – both in oral and written skills
- You must demonstrate financial need, specifically outlining the impact of the scholarship on your aspirations to undertake the LLM program or to pursue a career at the Bar.
- You must be self-funded, and not be in receipt of any other sources of funding
- The award is for one year only and cannot be deferred
- You must have applied for a place on our LLM General pathway with the intention of completing the LLM General or the LLM Criminal Law and Criminal Justice before applying for the scholarship.
Applying instructions: Applicants are required to submit an application form which includes an 800 word statement asking to be considered for the scholarship and explaining why they believe they meet the selection criteria below. Applicants should complete the Kalisher Trust LLM Scholarship Application form and submit this and a CV to calpg-research@contacts.bham.ac.uk stating "Kalisher Trust LLM Scholarship Application" and your student ID number in the email subject.

Opportunity Scholarship
Value: Financial grant of EUR 300 per month over the entire duration of the course (1st to 13th trimester) with a total value of up to EUR 15,600.

Germany Scholarship
The Deutschlandstipendium is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and supports "candidates who show excellent performance and talent.
Value: 300 euros per month from the 3rd trimester
Eligibility requirements: In addition, social commitment and the needs of the applicants should be used as selection criteria." The scholarship is independent of income and can be combined with BAföG funding. It does not have to be paid back.

Dr Willy Rebelein Scholarship
The Dr Willy Rebelein Foundation awards partial or full scholarships to finance tuition fees. Alternatively, an individual donation is possible to make everyday study life easier for the student.

Value: between £500 and £2,000.
Eligibility requirements: The LLM Academic Excellence Scholarships are open to all eligible candidates to whom the Law School has made an offer.
Deadline: There is no deadline to be considered for these scholarships, but applications will be considered regularly and scholarships will be granted on a rolling basis. GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by the University of Glasgow with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship program, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations.

Commonwealth Scholarship Schemes

Postgraduate Talent Scholarships
The University of Glasgow awards Postgraduate Talent Scholarships each academic year to support students who could face financial difficulties in taking up their place to study at the University.
Value: The value of each scholarship is £2,000 and they are for students undertaking a one or two year Taught Masters programme, in any of the University’s Colleges. For two year Taught Masters programs, the scholarship is available in year one only.
The University of Glasgow has a total of 28 PGT Excellence Scholarships available to UK students entering any of the University’s Colleges.
The Mexican National Bank (Banco de Mexico) provides special loans for students who wish to undertake a programme of postgraduate study.
Eligibility requirements: The University of Glasgow in partnership with Bank of Mexico FIDERH is offering a fee discount to holders of a Bank of Mexico FIDERH loan.

Colfuturo Fundacion para el Futuro de Colombia
The University of Glasgow offer discounts to all successful Fundacion para el Futuro de Colombia (Colfuturo) scholars who enrol at the University of Glasgow to complete a postgraduate program.
CONICyT (La Comsion Nacional de Investigacion Cientifica y Tecnologica de Chile)
The University of Glasgow offers a 25% discount to all successful CONICyT scholars who enrol at the University of Glasgow to complete a postgraduate program.
CONACyT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia) / FUNED Agreement
CONACyT offers a non-refundable scholarship, a monthly stipend and medical insurance of an approximate total of $20,000 USD (in the case of the UK, no medical insurance grant is given since students are already covered by the National Health System) The University of Glasgow offer a 30% discount to all successful CONACyT scholars who enrol at the University of Glasgow to complete a postgraduate program.
In response to the current unprecedented economic climate, the University is offering a 20% discount on all Postgraduate Research and full Postgraduate Taught Masters programs to its alumni, commencing study in Academic session 2023/24. This includes University of Glasgow graduates and those who have completed a Study Abroad programme or the Erasmus Programme at the University of Glasgow. The discount applies to all full-time, part-time and online programs. This discount can be awarded alongside most University scholarships.
The Marshall Scholarships offer top quality US students the opportunity to study at any British University for at least two years. Up to 40 new Scholarships are awarded annually. A Marshall Scholarship is tenable for 22 months (two academic years).
Eligibility requirements: Candidates may apply in any discipline leading to the award of a degree from any British University.

IE Law School Dean’s Award
The Dean’s Award is for law school candidates with an excellent academic record studying an IR Law School Masters Degree.
Value: 50% tuition fees.
Number of awards: One scholarship per intake.
Application deadline: For LLM programs that begin in the fall intake (September-November) application deadline is 1st April. For programs that begin in the spring intake (January-June) application deadline is 1st July.

Institute of European Studies
LLM International and European Law IES Scholarships
The program itself offers a limited number of scholarships that take the form of a reduced tuition fee (full or partial waiver). Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and demonstrated need. Students have to apply for the tuition waiver when applying for the program.
University Scholarships
The Academic Board of the program expects the University to be able to award a very limited number of scholarships for candidates from developing countries, covering tuition and part of the living expenses. However, candidates must above all explore the possibilities of obtaining financial assistance in their home countries.
Leiden University
Scholarship for Master’s of Advanced Legal Studies
Value: €5,000
Number of funded places: Three.
Eligibility requirements: Candidates will need to fulfill the entry requirements for the relevant program, and will need to submit an additional essay.
Application instructions: Mention the scholarship name and the deadline of the scholarship clearly in a cover letter which accompanies your application for admission. All the information on how to apply for a degree course is available online.
Additional information: All six scholarships are awarded on academic merit.

Centenary Scholarships
To mark the upcoming 100th anniversary of our Royal Charter, the University is offering 100 scholarships for which all master’s students are eligible to apply. These awards have been allocated to particular countries.
Value: Each scholarship for an international student is worth £4,000 and for UK / Republic of Ireland students (whose tuition fees are ordinarily lower) the amount is £2,000.
Eligibility requirements: To apply for funding, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one our master’s courses. The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the me@reading applicant portal, and will be accessible up until the closing date. Study may be on a full-time or part-time basis but flexible learning / part-time modular master’s courses are excluded.
