Boston College Law School is holding a Holocaust and Human Rights Lecture on Thursday 15th April 2021, from 12–1pm Eastern Time (US & Canada).
The 2021 Holocaust and Human Rights Project Owen Kupferschmid Memorial Lecture with Fergal Gaynor is named after its founder, a 1986 Boston College Law School graduate. Launched in 1984, the project's goal was to ensure that the precedential value of Holocaust-related law is fully realized and applied to state-sponsored human rights violations today. The project also organizes conferences and events, including the annual memorial lecture, to address specific legal issues related to the Holocaust and other human rights violations.
Delivering the lecture will be Fergal Gaynor who has worked in the field of international criminal justice since 2001, Mr Gaynor has served on the teams that prosecuted leading members of the Bosnian Serb leadership, the Khmer Rouge leadership, and the Interim Government of Rwanda.
