UNH Franklin Pierce has online LLM International Criminal Law & Justice Program
UNH Franklin Pierce is offering an online International Criminal Law & Justice Program – the only online LLM or masters degree that focuses on transnational crime.
Students of this online postgraduate program will include FBI agents, local police officers, drug taskforce members, prosecutors, defence lawyers, and non-profit advocates in both America and abroad.
Program Director, Professor Albert “Buzz” Scherr, explains, “The courses are taught with people involved in law enforcement, transnational crime, and law in mind.”
This online program is very flexible and students can begin the online curriculum in August 2021 or January 2022, completing the 24-credit LLM course on a full-time or part-time basis in one to three years. The 30-credit masters degree can be completed in up to five years.
Describing the details of the course further, Professor Scherr explains, “You will be taught by experts from around the world. They are experienced, on-the-ground practitioners. They work at major international non-profits. They have written the best textbooks in their area of expertise. They are well-networked in their respective fields.”
He continues, “We are the only masters or LLM degree that focuses on transnational crime. It is the hot area in terms of criminal justice issues. It pops up in big cities and small towns. Cybercrime is everywhere, and human trafficking is the same. Drugs and weapons trafficking has been a domestic and international concern for more than a century.”
Students who complete the International Criminal Law & Justice Program enter careers including counter-terrorism expert, human rights advocate, immigration and customs agent and victim assistance specialist.
The application deadline to start this course in autumn/fall is Saturday 1st August 2021.
