Summary
The LLM LegalTech and Commercial Law combines tech with commerce to open up exciting career opportunities that harness the power of technology. You will learn about the latest technologies in relation to the law, looking at AI and Blockchain and how they can be implemented, but also how they should be regulated. In addition to this, the programme covers the contemporary themes of commercial law, with intellectual property, e-commerce, arbitration and innovation as optional themes of study.
These themes ensure that graduates of this programme gain knowledge and experience relative to the most recent developments in the sector, allowing them to become reflective practitioners, capable of shaping the future of the profession responsibly.
This programme can open the door to roles, not only in forward-looking law firms, but also in emerging tech sectors such as fintech and insurtech, in addition to the traditional commercial sectors of banking, finance, insurance and shipping.
You will be part of a globally recognised law school, with a thriving academic environment committed to excellence in teaching and research, and offering an exceptional student experience.
• 83.3% of our research produces considerable impact in terms of its reach and significance (REF 2021) • Law at Swansea is ranked 67th in the World (THE World University Rankings 2023) • The School is home to the £5.6million Legal Innovation Lab Wales, an ERDF-funded research centre in legal technology and cyber-terrorism, supported by teams of researchers and developers
