Summary
How do sporting organizations tackle the current challenges of doping, illegal betting, gaming manipulation and corruption? What are the biggest challenges of sport events, sport contract law and the resolution of sports related disputes and arbitration?
Switzerland is home for the most important sports organizations. Within that setting Zurich University – known worldwide for the excellence of its faculty and its legal education programs – is offering an LL.M. in International Sports Law.
The program provides economic and legal insight into sports organizations and analyzes how they operate and integrate on a national and international level. An international team of lecturers ensures that course subject matter is not limited to national issues, but encompasses a growing body of inter-national business law.

Modules | You are required to take all general courses, the modules of the specialization course and to submit a thesis to conclude the program. The General Course lectures build the foundation for the subsequent Specialization Course. Courses are delivered through a blend of international experts (30% professors, 70% practi-tioners). The use of international sources, such as conventions, means you learn about the law in Switzerland, the EU while also developing a broader international perspective. General Courses: * Introduction to Swiss Law * Legal English for Lawyers * International Economic Law * European Business Law * Competition Law * International Private Law/ Corporate Law / Corporate Criminal Law * International Tax Law * Conducting Negotiations * Legal Management * Compliance Specialization Course * Organisation and Good Governance * Dispute Resolution: General and Specific Areas Students who are interested in only taking the Specialization Course can be awarded a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). |
